Our Story - Coorie Doon - The beginning
Our love affair with this beautiful area began many years ago as children, enjoying family holidays yachting along the West coast of Scotland, particularly navigating the Crinan Canal. Years later, we rediscovered Cairnbaan with its unique location and surroundings. A rare opportunity arose, and we became the proud owners of a Victorian terraced quarriers cottage right on the bank of the Canal. Coorie Cottages in Cairnbaan started with Coorie Doon in 2021 when we collaborated with a local architect and builders to fully renovate and modernize the cottage, transforming it into a cozy, warm, and inviting space for us and our guests. We cherish the beauty of its location, offering accommodation for up to 4 guests. Coorie Doon is your perfect holiday rental which provides a tranquil escape to unwind and relax next to the Crinan Canal.

Coorie Neuk evolved from our addiction to this stunning and hidden gem of an area, and we purchased Coorie Neuk in November 2024, when we started a programme of modernisation. Now completed, Coorie Neuk offers all the indoor and outdoor space we need to share with family and friends as it sleeps up to 6, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a holiday rental in Cairnbaan and close to the Crinan Canal.
